Peskov: the Kremlin does not discuss the introduction of QR codes in transport

The possibility of introducing QR codes on railway and air transport is not discussed in the Kremlin. This statement was made by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.

Peskov assured that there are currently no discussions in the presidential administration regarding the strengthening of restrictions on coronavirus at the federal level.

“All this multivariance is exclusively in the prerogative of the government headquarters,” the press secretary stressed.

Earlier, the authorities of Tatarstan announced the introduction of QR codes for travel in public transport.

Meanwhile, in Russia over the past day, the minimum number of new cases of COVID infection was recorded in a week – 39 160 infected. At the same time, another daily maximum of deaths was observed. The total number of cases has reached 8 873 655, 249 215 people have become victims of the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.
