Russia is not going to discuss with other states the law on foreign media agents, since this is an internal matter of the country. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
“This is about our domestic legislation. We do not intend to discuss it with anyone, ”RIA Novosti quotes a Kremlin spokesman.
Earlier, Peskov explained that there should be a law on foreign media agents in Russia, since there is outside interference. The Foreign Ministry also noted that the law cannot be canceled, as it allows to resist pressure on Russian journalists and attempts to influence the political life of the country from abroad.
