He recalled that the decision to cancel the trip was made due to the change in the format of the visit by the German side.
“Now I would not say anything in general about the relationship, because from our point of view, we are convinced that there are no factors that can negatively affect and which should somehow negatively affect our relationship,” said Peskov.

Lavrov and Maas were supposed to take part in the closing of the Year of Scientific and Educational Partnerships, but it became known that the head of the German Foreign Ministry would not participate in the ceremony.
