Patrushev in India will take part in negotiations on the situation in Afghanistan

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev will visit India on Wednesday, where he will discuss the situation in Afghanistan with his colleagues from other countries.

“In New Delhi, Patrushev will take part in a multilateral meeting of the secretaries of the security councils on the situation in Afghanistan,” said the press service of the Russian Security Council apparatus.

Pakistan, China, Iran, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are also expected to participate in the consultations on Afghanistan.

Earlier it became known about Russia’s plans to organize a humanitarian flight to Afghanistan in the near future. It is planned that residents who have Russian citizenship will be taken out of the country on special flights.

Meanwhile, the United States pointed out the importance of cooperation with Russia, China, Iran and Central Asian countries to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan.
