Pashinyan did not rule out Armenia’s interest in the “3 + 3” format

Armenia is interested in the “3 + 3” format, as well as in other regional projects. However, it should not replace other existing formats. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.

He noted that Armenia will be interested in the “3 + 3” format if he introduces a new agenda. However, as Pashinyan believes, it makes no sense to discuss within its framework the agenda that is being raised within the framework of the Minsk or working group on unblocking communications.

The politician stressed that regional cooperation is designated as one of the most important foundations in the government’s program. For this reason, Armenia is interested in any projects that open up regional potential.

Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran and Georgia can take part in the “3 + 3” format. Earlier, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan was in favor of its creation. In addition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed this issue at a press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian. According to the Russian minister, Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan have a positive attitude towards this initiative. At the same time, he noted that Moscow is working with Armenian colleagues.

Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan stated about incomplete observance of the ceasefire regime on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.
