In the event of the introduction of unscheduled vacations during quarantine due to a difficult epidemiological situation, parents of schoolchildren under 14 years of age do not receive benefits and are forced to “solve the problem of caring for children and ensuring their safety during vacations,” says the explanatory note to the bill.
Parents of schoolchildren under the age of 14 cannot even agree with the employer on the provision of unscheduled leave without pay, since it is provided only to single parents or if there are two or more children in the family.
The new bill, if adopted, will allow the payment of temporary disability benefits to parents of children who are on vacation due to the pandemic.
