Organization of Turkic States supported reforms in Kazakhstan

The Organization of Turkic States has announced its support for the reforms that the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev intends to carry out, TASS reports.

The organization’s statement also states its readiness “to provide the necessary support to overcome the crisis to the leadership and people of Kazakhstan.”

The text notes that the Turkic states also support “the actions of the government of Kazakhstan against terrorists, radicals, extremists and criminals aimed at undermining the constitutional order.”

Earlier on Tuesday, it was reported that the head of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, instructed to develop and adopt a program to increase the income of citizens. In addition, the president announced a five-year moratorium on the increase in the salaries of members of the government and deputies.

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to create a public social fund in the country. This fund will deal with the solution of problems in the field of health care, education, social support, in particular, assistance to children with rare diseases. The new fund will provide assistance to the families of law enforcement officers and servicemen who died in the elimination of the riots.
