One of the leaders of Hamas was killed – media

The Pan-Arab newspaper reported that one of the leaders of Hamas, or rather its associated combat wing, had died. The number of victims of shelling continues to increase.

The Hamas movement controls the Gaza Strip. As a result of the rocket bombing of the Israeli army, one of its leaders, Muhammad Fayad, was eliminated.

Fayad was one of the commanders of Hamas’s militant wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigade. He was in the city of Beit Hanoun, which is located in the north of the Gaza Strip, according to the electronic version of the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat.

According to the Palestinian media, which cite a source in the Ministry of Health of the coastal enclave, the death toll as a result of shelling by the Israeli army has increased to 21 people, nine of them are children. At least 70 more people were injured.

The Israel Army (IDF) on its Twitter page reported on the number of rockets that were fired from the Gaza Strip towards the enemy. There were at least 150 of them.

Earlier it became known about a fire in the Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem. According to the publication Alquds, Israeli security forces fired flash-noise grenades, which caused the trees growing near the Al-Mugarib gate to catch fire.

Military correspondent Alexander Kots published on his Telegram channel Kotsnews how the Iron Dome works over Israel. The footage shows missiles flying over the southern part of the country, which literally “crumble” in the air as a result of the tactical air defense system.
