One-component vaccine “Sputnik Light” will appear in February

Sputnik Light, a single-component coronavirus vaccine, will appear in February. This was reported on the Twitter account of the Sputnik V vaccine, developed by the Gamaleya Center in conjunction with RDIF.

In January, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation authorized the Sputnik Light clinical trials.

It was reported that this version will be mainly focused on foreign markets, where there are strong foci of the epidemic, and in our country the drug Sputnik V will be used more often.

Mass vaccination against coronavirus started in Russia on January 18. Citizens can now be vaccinated with “Sputnik V”, and from the beginning of March there will be an opportunity to be vaccinated with “EpiVacCorona” of the Novosibirsk center “Vector”.

In addition, it is expected that in early April, the use of “Kovivak” by the Chumakov Center, which is still undergoing registration, will begin.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that in the first quarter it is planned to vaccinate about 20 million Russians. More than 17 million doses of vaccine will be delivered to regional medical institutions.
