State Duma deputy Oksana Dmitrieva from the “Party of Growth” will be the only non-factional deputy. She stated that she was not going to join any of the five factions, RIA Novosti reported.
Dmitrieva noted that she is ready to cooperate with all factions that will support her initiatives. She also intends to appeal to the opposition factions for the right to speak at plenary sessions in the case when the speeches are limited only to representatives of the factions.
Earlier, Alexey Zhuravlev from Rodina and Rifat Shaikhutdinov from Civic Platform joined the LDPR faction, self-nominated candidates Vladislav Reznik and Leonid Babashov – to United Russia, Oleg Leonov and Dmitry Pevtsov – to New People, and Anatoly Wasserman joined “For Fair Russia – For the Truth.”
Earlier it was reported that Vyacheslav Volodin was re-elected speaker of the State Duma of the VIII convocation. 360 out of 450 deputies voted for him.
