Bahrain and Israel signed an agreement in Manama to establish diplomatic relations. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom, Abdul Latif bin Rashed al-Zayani.
As specifies TASS, during the visit of the Israeli delegation to Bahrain, the countries signed seven memorandums of cooperation in various fields.
In addition, Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi sent an official request to his Bahraini counterpart to open a diplomatic mission in the kingdom.
Earlier it was reported that the Israeli parliament approved the agreement signed in Washington on the normalization of relations with the UAE.
Recall, agreements on the normalization of relations between Israel, the UAE and Bahrain were signed in September at the White House. US President Donald Trump called these events a "historic breakthrough."
