North Korean missile crashes outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone

Japanese government sources said a missile launched by North Korea on Monday fell into the Sea of Japan outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone, Kyodo reported.

The country’s coast guard reportedly warned fishing boats in the area to be careful not to approach the wreckage.

North Korea fired what appears to be a ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan on Monday.

Earlier, the South Korean military said that the DPRK on January 14 launched two, presumably, ballistic missiles from Pyongan Pukto province towards the Sea of Japan.

Recall that North Korea successfully tested hypersonic missiles on January 5 and 11. The test was attended by the country’s leader Kim Jong-un. It was reported that during the second launch, the warhead of a hypersonic missile hit a target at a distance of a thousand kilometers.
