Nikita Kucherov, Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL, underwent successful hip surgery.
This was announced on his official Twitter page by the journalist of The Athletic portal Joe Smith.
According to him, the athlete was operated on on Tuesday, December 29, in a clinic in New York.
Tampa expects the forward’s rehabilitation and recovery phase to continue until the end of the NHL regular season, which will run from January 13 to May 8.
Earlier, the general manager of the team, Julien Brisbois, said that due to a thigh injury, Kucherov would miss the regular season.
