The truth is, we all have good days and bad days at the same time. Sometimes it seems that there are more of some than others, and then we feel very good – or vice versa, we hate the whole world around us. But it’s important to remind ourselves that we’re not so bad, no matter how bad we feel.
Despair is terrible. Here’s what to remember when your self-esteem is low:
1. Don’t stop
Don’t dwell too much on the past. If you constantly think about “what if”, you will fall into an endless spiral of despair.
Remind yourself that it’s okay to move forward, forgive yourself for the mistakes of the past, and realize that you can’t change anything. Don’t stop and focus on the present moment.
2. You’re OK
Thinking that “something is wrong” with you is harmful and very unproductive. Everyone makes mistakes, that’s the way people are. You did as you saw fit, by trial and error you learned to distinguish good from evil. This is a valuable experience that comes to each of us at some point in life.
3. Positive thinking is very good for the brain
It is enough to switch your thinking to the “positive mode” so that the brain begins to find the bright side in everything that happens.
It is important to remember that we are not limited by the negative thoughts in our head.
Even if you are still in pain, in order to recover from pain, you must learn to cope with difficulties, finding the positive side in everything.
4. Make the change you want to see
Sometimes we realize that it is only in our power to make ourselves truly happy. Nobody knows you better than yourself.
It is important to remember that no matter how much we long for positive changes in our lives that will bring us happiness, desire alone is not enough: we must achieve these changes ourselves.
This is easier said than done, but the more effort you put into working on yourself and your happiness, the sooner you will get the desired result.
5. Don’t beat yourself up
Remember, no matter what happens, it’s not the end of the world. It may seem to you that the world around you is collapsing, but this is just an opportunity for you to rebuild everything from scratch.
You can recreate yourself from the wreckage and become even stronger than you were before.
Today’s problems do not determine the course of your entire life, so do not get attached to difficulties. Create the world you would like to live in.
