Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vasily Nebenzya believes that Germany and France can be called accomplices in the crimes committed by Kiev in the Donbass, and not mediators in the settlement of the conflict.
The Permanent Representative made the corresponding statement during his speech at the ongoing meeting of the Security Council in connection with the sixth anniversary of the signing of the Minsk agreements, TASS informs.
The French and German sides, as Nebenzia recalled, in December last year refused to participate in an informal meeting of the UN Security Council with representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics.
“Those who support only one side of the internal Ukrainian conflict and indulge, contrary to the facts, its painful fantasies of“ Russian aggression ”cannot call themselves mediators. You, gentlemen, are rather accomplices of the crimes committed by Kiev against the population of Donbass, ”the diplomat said.
The Russian representative also drew attention to the fact that Kiev still does not fulfill its obligations, and this, in his words, “is not even hidden even at the level of the Ukrainian leadership.”
Earlier, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, suggested that the OSCE adopt a statement in support of Minsk-2.
