Russia has destroyed all stocks of chemical warfare agents, including Novichka, in due course, said Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.
According to him, the substances were destroyed in accordance with the protocols and regulations of the OPCW, and this was recorded, TASS reports. In this regard, Naryshkin called misinformation reports about the presence in Russia of production or old stocks of chemical warfare agents.
The head of the SVR also added that at the time of departure from Russia, the body of Alexei Navalny did not contain toxic substances.
Earlier, the German government announced that the oppositionist had been poisoned with the Novichok substance and urged Moscow to investigate the situation. In addition, the foreign ministers of the G7 countries issued a joint statement urging Russia to conduct the fastest and most transparent investigation of the incident.
Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Berlin has not yet responded to Moscow's requests for the opposition's survey data.
The day before, it was reported that the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation submitted an additional request for legal assistance to the competent judicial authorities of Germany based on the materials of the check on the fact of Navalny's hospitalization.
