The nongovernmental organization NetBlocks announced that access to the online encyclopedia Wikipedia in all languages has been blocked in Myanmar.
“This is part of the post-coup military’s internet censorship regime,” the organization said on Twitter.
Recall that on February 1, the leader of Myanmar, Vin Myin, and members of the ruling party were detained. They were charged. The military declared a state of emergency for one year and announced the creation of a new authority.
There are protests in the country. Their participants demand the release of the leaders of the state. The United States has already imposed a number of sanctions.
On February 15, NetBlocks reported that Myanmar is experiencing an almost complete internet outage. According to her, Internet disruptions are observed in the country for the sixth night in a row.
