In the spring semester, Moscow University is switching to full-time education and is waiting for students from more than 25 countries with which Russia has open air communication, the press center of the university said.
To enter the country, students will need a confirmed negative test result for COVID-19 by PCR, obtained no earlier than three days before arrival in the Russian Federation. Foreign students of Moscow State University can settle in a university hostel for the duration of isolation (3-5 days). The university, in partnership with insurance companies, is also giving them the opportunity to take a second COVID-19 test.
According to the rector of Moscow State University, academician Viktor Sadovnichy, the university administration strives to make foreign students feel comfortable. A hotline has been opened where students can apply for psychological support and help from volunteers.
It is also noted that in the current academic year, the university accepted 20% more foreign students compared to 2019/2020, despite the epidemic situation.
On February 28, the university will host an open door day for foreign applicants in a distance format. Registration for the event is open on the openday.msu.ru portal in Russian, English and Chinese.
