More than a million pensioners in Russia owe loans to banks

More than a million retirees living in Russia are included in the database of bailiffs because of debts to credit institutions. The press service of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) informed the journalists about this.

It is noted that in total (as of November 1, 2020) 7.8 proceedings were being executed by bailiffs. All these cases concern the collection of debts from individuals in favor of banks.

The share of men and women in this list is approximately the same – about 50%.

Debtors have reached retirement age in 1.3 million enforcement proceedings. This category of citizens accounts for every sixth production (17%), – transfers TASS information from the FSPP.

For ten months of 2020, bailiffs collected 111.3 billion rubles from individuals with debts to banks.

As wrote earlier, Russia is preparing a special program for housing savings. It is designed for citizens who do not have free funds for the first mortgage payment. We are talking, in particular, about special bank deposits. They can become a kind of alternative to consumer loans, which Russians take more and more often to make the first mortgage payment.
