The money of the son of the ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych was transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the press service of the office of the Prosecutor General writes.
More than 300 million hryvnias (about $8 million) were reportedly sent to the Ukrainian army, which previously belonged to Alexander Yanukovych. Previously, these funds were arrested as part of a criminal case.
“In the course of the pre-trial investigation, the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General seized the funds of the officials of the All-Ukrainian Development Bank and directly the funds of the son of the ex-president. Currently, 304 million hryvnias ($8.1 million) have been credited to a special account to ensure the defense capability of Ukraine.
The agency also stressed that the son of the ex-president of Ukraine was the owner of 100% of the bank’s shares.
