On Sunday, in Minsk, law enforcement agencies detained more than 400 people who took part in an unauthorized protest action. This was announced on her Telegram channel by the press secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs Olga Chemodanova.
According to her, as of 19:00, protest actions in the republic have ended almost everywhere.
The ministry also said that during the detention of some demonstrators on Pobediteley Avenue "a warning shot was fired into the air from a pump-action gun to suppress illegal actions."
At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus denied reports that the security forces allegedly used flash-noise grenades in Minsk to disperse the protesters.
Earlier, the ministry reported that 250 people were detained at the protests in Minsk today.
