Monson announced his intention to lead the Russian national jiu-jitsu team

Mixed martial arts fighter and deputy of Krasnogorsk near Moscow Jeff Monson announced his intention to lead the Russian national jiu-jitsu team, TASS reports.

“I will lead the Russian national team to participate in the World Jiu-Jitsu and ADCC Championships,” the agency quotes him as saying.

In addition, Monson said that he will open ju-jitsu and grappling schools in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Jeff Monson, 49, was born in the United States. In 2018, he received Russian citizenship and in the same year he took office as a deputy of the Krasnogorsk urban district of the Moscow region. On account of Monson 60 wins, 26 defeats and one draw in MMA.

On the eve it became known about the end of his sports career. It was noted that the athlete’s decision was associated with a serious injury.
