Mishustin allocated more than 35 billion rubles for unemployment benefits

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the allocation of another 35 billion rubles for the payment of unemployment benefits.

According to the government's press service, 109.4 billion rubles were spent on these purposes by August 31, which is over 83% of the funds provided for in the budget.

In order to avoid non-payment, it was decided to additionally finance this support measure., - the message says.

Rostrud will monitor the effectiveness of the spending of funds, which must submit a corresponding report to the government by February 1, 2021.

The press service also noted that thanks to the order, it became possible to regularly and fully provide financial assistance to those who find themselves in a difficult life situation. If necessary, the authorities are ready to allocate additional budgetary funds.

Currently, the amount of unemployment benefits ranges from 1.5 thousand rubles to 12 130 rubles, depending on the category of the recipient.

Earlier wrote that the government approved the allocation of funds to Rostrud to provide subventions to the country's regions for social benefits to the unemployed.

In April, the number of unemployed in Russia increased to 4.3 million people. This is 21% more than in April 2019. A lot of small and medium-sized businesses found themselves on the brink of bankruptcy. The Russian government has several times announced the introduction of new measures to support the economy and citizens. We are talking about loans, subsidies and tax breaks, as well as the payment of increased benefits for unemployment and families with children.
