Belarus said that the deployment of 10,000 Polish troops on the joint border, as previously announced by the Polish Minister of Defense, is a significant military activity.
The press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry in the Telegram channel says that Minsk did not receive any notification or invitation from observers from Warsaw.
The implementation of military activities, in which 6,000 or more military personnel are involved, without notifying the Belarusian side is a violation of bilateral agreements on regional confidence and security measures, the ministry said.
According to him, Poland was offered to hold a bilateral meeting to discuss the concerns raised, but no response has yet been received.
The day before, the situation with illegal migrants on the Belarusian-Polish border has worsened. Almost 4 thousand refugees, who are trying to get to Germany, have accumulated in the area of the border crossing to Poland and set up a tent camp there.
The Polish authorities have increased the number of security officials guarding the border. In turn, Lithuania, due to the influx of illegal migrants, introduces a state of emergency in the regions bordering with Belarus.
