Mikhail Efremov

In early September, the Presnensky Court of Moscow found 56-year-old Mikhail Efremov guilty of a fatal road accident in the center of Moscow and sentenced him to 8 years in a general regime colony, as well as deprived of his driver's license for three years. The actor was taken into custody right in the courthouse and has been in the capital's pre-trial detention center "Vodnik" for the second week.

Efremov and his cellmates are exempted from labor duties, while as leisure they have a television with a modest set of channels, a gym and a small library. Another "entertainment" of the convicts are letters from the will, which Mikhail received about a hundred in just a few days spent in the pre-trial detention center.

Efremov even managed to answer some of these messages. So, at the disposal of the publication "KP" was a screen of the actor's letter to one of the fans: in it he thanks her for her support and tells how his life in the isolation ward is.

I am fine. Humor and self-irony help me. I also have good fellow inmates. I am also an indicative prisoner, and this has its advantages. There are also quite sane bosses here. And of course I believe in God. Everything passes and this will pass. Thank you for your support. M. Efremov,

- Efremov replied to the fan's letter.

Recall that in early June, Mikhail Efremov caused an accident on Smolenskaya Square in Moscow. Being in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication, the actor in his car crossed a double solid line of marking and, having driven into the oncoming lane, collided with a truck, the driver of which later died in the hospital from his injuries.Mikhail Efremov with his wife Sofya KruglikovaMikhail Efremov with his wife Sofya Kruglikova

A few days after the accident, Efremov recorded a video message in which he asked forgiveness from the relatives of the deceased. At first he admitted his guilt, but then refused to do so, referring to the fact that he did not remember anything. As a result, a few days before the sentencing, the actor still pleaded guilty to a fatal accident.

It is interesting that the other day the Efremov family changed his lawyer: instead of Elman Pashayev, Mikhail's interests will now be defended by lawyer Roman Filippov, who also holds the title of multiple champion of Russia, Europe and the world in arm wrestling. Efremov's relatives hope and believe that the new lawyer will help significantly reduce the actor's eight-year term.Mikhail EfremovMikhail Efremov
