The wife of the leader of the Ukrainian party “Opposition Platform – For Life”, deputy of the Rada Viktor Medvedchuk, announced her entry into this political organization.
On the eve of the Security Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions against Medvedchuk and his wife Oksana Marchenko. The restrictions will last for three years and apply to all property of the politician.
In total, the sanctions were imposed against 19 legal entities and eight individuals, including the owners of aircraft that flew to Russia.
Today Marchenko posted a video message on her YouTube channel. She stated that she had never aspired to politics, but she was “left with no choice.”
“Now, instead of one Medvedchuk, you also got Marchenko … From today I am joining the Opposition Platform – For Life party,” said the politician’s wife.
She noted that she sees her main task as “protecting the Ukrainian people from green arbitrariness and lawlessness.”
