According to the Dawn newspaper, the Pakistani government has authorized the emergency use of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in the country.
The publication, citing an official representative of the country, writes that the local pharmaceutical company AGP has been appointed as the only importer and distributor of the Russian vaccine.
It is noted that the Russian drug became the third approved in Pakistan. Earlier, local authorities allowed the use of the Chinese company Sinopharm and the British AstraZeneca to combat the pandemic.
On the eve it became known that the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), which developed together with the Center. Gamalea vaccine “Sputnik V”, signed an agreement with a leading Turkish manufacturer of pharmaceutical products to manufacture the drug in Turkey.
