Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko again held a telephone conversation with acting German Chancellor Angela Merkel, according to the Telegram channel “Pool of the First”.
The report does not specify what exactly the politicians were talking about. Last time they talked by phone on November 15 and discussed ways out of the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border.
As Lukashenko said earlier, he offered Merkel options for resolving the current situation. According to him, acting Chancellor took a break to discuss this issue with EU members, then another telephone conversation was planned.
Let us remind you that the situation on the border escalated on November 8. Several thousand migrants are trying to get to the territory of the European Union, but the Polish security forces do not allow illegal immigrants, since they do not consider them refugees. Western countries believe that the actions of the Belarusian authorities led to the migration crisis. Minsk does not agree with this.
