Russian figure skating two-time world champion Evgenia Medvedeva decided to return to the group of the honored coach of the Russian Federation Eteri Tutberidze. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to sources.
Prior to that, the 20-year-old athlete trained in Toronto under the guidance of Canadian specialist Brian Orser.
Medvedeva left the Tutberidze group in 2018 after losing the victory to another student of her mentor Alina Zagitova in the personal tournament of the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
The figure skater trained with Eteri Tutberidze from 2007 to 2018, during which time Medvedeva won two gold medals at the World and European Championships. In addition, the athlete twice became the winner of the Grand Prix series finals and twice won gold medals in the Russian championship.
Earlier it was reported that Tutberidze reacted with applause to the performance of figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva at the test skates of the Russian national team.
