French media reported that the main suspect in the attack on passers-by near the former editorial office of Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris admitted to the crime, RIA Novosti reports.
French journalists found out that the main suspect was an 18-year-old native of Pakistan.
We will remind, two people attacked bystanders this afternoon in the 11th arrondissement of Paris next to the building, which previously housed the editorial office of Charlie Hebdo. Two people were stabbed, the criminals fled, but were later caught.
The scene was visited today by French Prime Minister Jean Casteks and Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen. The anti-terrorist prosecutor's office took up the investigation.
In 2015, after the publication in Charlie Hebdo of a cartoon of the leader of the terrorist organization ISIS, banned in Russia, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, armed men attacked the magazine's office. Then 12 people became victims, 11 more were injured. After this incident, the editorial staff of the magazine moved to another location.
