On May 9, 1945, humanity realized that it was saved from a terrible disease, in the fire of which tens of millions of lives were burned. On this day, the hammer of the Red Army demolished and smashed the ominous cast-iron figures of the Teutonic gods from the pedestal.

This Victory until the last remained that memorable bond that made all of us – Russians, and Belarusians, and Tatars, and Bashkirs, and Kirghiz, and Kazakhs, and Ukrainians, and Armenians, and Georgians, and Azerbaijanis, and Chechens, and many others nations, to feel like a generation of winners, one big family.

It is not for nothing that our existential enemies made such titanic efforts to make us forget this feat of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers. And where it was forgotten, Nazism revived again. And he again requires new victims …

Now a heated discussion has unfolded on the Internet that the conditions of the ongoing special operation require a new content of the state ideology.

A version is put forward that Victory Day is the cornerstone of the legitimacy of the Russian state, that loan of the past, which has been widely used by the authorities over the past 20 years.

This is the wrong question. The Russian state won back its legitimacy long before Victory Day. Thousands of years before. This legitimacy was won with blood – on the Kulikovo field, Lake Ladoga, near Poltava, near the village of Borodino. What is characteristic is that in recent wars our state defended its legitimacy in wars with the collective West.

The West, by virtue of its mentality, could not come to terms with the stronghold of the Eastern Christian civilization represented by Russia.

On Borodino, French regular units, Polish and Hungarian hussars, Spanish infantry, Dutch uhlans and other national units and subunits fought against the Russian army.

The West was broken. Russia survived and grew stronger as a state. But the last world war for Russia was the most terrible.

And it was again the “military team” of Europe. Germans and Poles, Czechs and Slovaks, Hungarians and Croats, Romanians and Bulgarians, French and Spaniards, Italians, Dutch, Danes, Latvians, Lithuanians, Finns, Bulgarians, Estonians fought against the Soviet Union…

Under the pressure of Nazi Germany, entire states took shape like cardboard houses. France had a million-strong army. Collapsed and capitulated within a month. Poland resisted for a little over a month; almost a million fighters were also put under arms in its army.

During the day, Denmark and Norway were conquered. The defeated states recruited millions of new fighters under black banners. Tellingly, many of them became part of the national SS divisions and voluntarily became “death suitors.”

Of the forty SS divisions at most, half were purely German. They were joined by the French “Charlemagne”, the Norwegian “Vikings”, the Ukrainian “Galicia”, Croatian, Hungarian, Estonian and even Albanian divisions.

It seemed that nothing could be opposed to the enemy, who was pushing the boundaries of the possible before our eyes, the power of which seemed mythical.

But in the Soviet Union the monster was defeated. There was a battle near Moscow, a feat of a division Panfilovaformed in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, there were Siberian divisions that stopped the Nazi offensive with their lives, there was Stalingrad, where crossings across the Volga turned red with blood, houses burned, and even iron could not stand it. Only people endured.

Sixth Army Pauluswhich brought the English armada to the brink of complete defeat at Dunkirk, conquered all of Poland, victoriously traveled hundreds of kilometers across Europe. But she could not walk 700 meters from Mamaev Kurgan to the Volga.

The war on the banks of the Volga turned into the worst version of hell for the Germans and their allies, into an intense life and a terrible death among the burnt red bricks. Strength broke strength.

The defenders of the city on the Volga were controlled by the only kind of discipline – the holy sons’ love for the Motherland. And they fought to the death – so that the very name of Russia would not fade.

And the Germans trembled. Numerous allies were the first to fall. 22 divisions fell into the famous “Stalingrad cauldron”. Among them were Italians, Spaniards, Romanians. The famous Italian “Blue Division” on the banks of the Volga was killed almost completely. The rest surrendered. The Romanians preferred to surrender in whole regiments.

And then there was the Kursk Bulge – “the battle of hearts and motors”, the greatest tank battle in the history of mankind. By the way, according to statistics, every fourth German tank driver was a Czech. It was logical – the tanks were made on the Czech Skoda, and future mechanical drivers assembled them here.

Here, on the Kursk Bulge, took place “tank. Apocalypse”. The metal burned and melted, the towers torn off by a direct hit scattered in different directions.

Our tankers showed contempt for death. The enemy broke this time as well.

And then there was victory. The last defenders of the Reichstag, the French SS of the Charlemagne division, refused to surrender, and were killed in the building by heavy fire from infantry and light artillery.

And the world froze, looking at the scarlet banner on the spire of the Reichstag.

By the way, the composition of the prisoners who rebuilt our cities destroyed by them was interesting. In total, two million one hundred thousand people turned out to be in Soviet captivity. Of these, 200 thousand Romanians, 60 thousand Poles and 10 thousand Jews.

The memory of the Victory laid down a fundamental idea in the minds of the world elites – from that moment on, it was the USSR that became the main guarantor of peace in Europe, the country and force that destroyed the world threat – Nazism. This gave the country the status of a world power.

From that moment on, military force became the main trump card of Russia, for the sake of which the country went to terrible hardships.

And now this state of affairs is being strategically challenged. Again, the collective West is fighting against us on the territory of Ukraine. And again, from the ashes of oblivion, the nightmare of mankind, Nazism, was reborn.

Yes, and even in some satanic form. Thunderstorms rumble. Again, the “suitors of death” are hiding in the dungeon of Mariupol. Once again, the collective West seeks to break the geopolitical status quo.

We are now on the threshold of a new era. And as always, it begins with a global conflict.

Russia entered into a military confrontation with the Ukrainian elite, which took Nazi ideas as their ideology.

And this is not a quick victorious operation, but the development of a complex, difficult conflict, the struggle against the combined military potential of the United States and Europe.

We are facing a new historical challenge. And now there is no alternative to the reconstruction of our economy and our entire society.

Russia must preserve the right to peace and its existence.

This will inevitably create our new state ideology.

And it will become a factor of great continuity of generations.

And we, like our grandfathers, have no choice. The enemy will be defeated. Victory will be ours!
