In addition, on the initiative of the vice-mayor, a number of measures were taken to popularize and improve the comfort of public transport. So, the number of specially allocated bands for it has significantly increased: if in 2013 there were only two of them, then by 2018 year – already 57.

Under the leadership of Liksutov, new trams, buses, metro cars have been purchased, additional metro stations have been built. Since 2012 public transport in Moscow is equipped with Wi-Fi, at the same time a single Troika card was launched in the capital. The set of measures initiated by Maxim Liksutov made it possible to increase the average road speed and halve the number of road accidents on Moscow roads.

The priorities of the head of the Department of Transport include improving the environmental friendliness of the transport system Moscow, including through the development of electric transport and alternative modes of transportation – bicycles and car sharing. The car-sharing system began operating in Moscow in 2018, and in 2019, the Russian capital took the first place in the world in the number of cars for short-term rent.

In April 2020 due to the coronavirus, this service was banned, but in May Maxim Liksutov announced a partial restoration of the service. Now Deptrans is working on a new project “People’s Car Sharing”, which enables any Moscow car owner to rent his car for a short period.
