Russian Foreign Ministry press secretary Maria Zakharova decided to tone down the pathos of the Kiev regime, recalling the real state of affairs. “With a pork snout in a Kalashny row,” she said, answering Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ukraine’s ambitions do not match its potential, but Kiev is trying to disguise this shortcoming at the expense of an overly arrogant foreign policy. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that only thanks to a strong and impudent international policy, other countries allegedly can see the progress of the country. Zakharova ironically supported the politician’s comment.
“But that’s for sure! You can’t say it better, if only with a Russian proverb – with a pork snout in a Kalashny row,” the diplomat wrote on the Telegram channel.
Zakharova recalled the failure of reforms sponsored by the West, the growing division within the country, the inability of the Ukrainian authorities to preserve traditions and modernize the country. In reality, Kiev has no steps forward.
“Only a hundred steps back, but not quietly on the fingers, but unbridled and impudent,” she summed up.
As reported by RIA FAN, earlier the permanent representative of Russia in the contact group on Donbass, Boris Gryzlov, announced that Kiev was sabotaging the peace process. In particular, the Ukrainians did not provide meaningful proposals and arguments on the issues of a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
Kiev is trying to compensate for this shortcoming by “undisguised sabotage and bringing the negotiations to the point of absurdity,” he said.
