Manturov: the volume of production of vaccines against COVID in the Russian Federation will grow to 15 million doses per month

The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that the volume of production of vaccines against coronavirus in the Russian Federation will gradually increase from 800 thousand doses in November to 15 million doses in the spring, writes TASS.

“We set ourselves the following production target: 800 thousand doses in November, we plan to release 1.5 million doses in December, 3-3.5 million in January. And then this scale will multiply. That is, we will be able to produce 15 million doses per month next spring, ”he stressed.

According to him, after saturation of the domestic market, Russia will be ready to start exporting vaccines.

He noted that RDIF performs an active task and role in concluding agreements with foreign partners, including India, Latin America, Kazakhstan, Belarus.

Let us recall that the Sputnik V vaccine, developed by the Gamaleya Research Center for Electrochemistry with the support of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, was registered on August 11, and on September 9 the post-registration phase of its trials began in the country.

Earlier, the head of RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev, said that the vaccine could be launched in Russia in late October or early November. Meanwhile, it became known that more than 12 thousand Russians have already been vaccinated with the Russian drug against the coronavirus Sputnik-V.
