Manturov sees no reason to close catering and non-grocery stores yet

Catering and retail companies can continue to operate subject to the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor, unless a sharp increase in the number of cases of coronavirus is recorded, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov.

The head of the department answered the question whether cafes, restaurants and non-food stores can continue to operate in the current epidemiological situation in Russia, transfers TASS.

So far yes- said Manturov.

However, he noted that it is difficult to unequivocally answer such a question, since in different regions of the country there is a different situation with regard to coronavirus and, based on it, the regional leaders make decisions.

As for service and trade enterprises, today, subject to all the requirements that are presented by Rospotrebnadzor, the continuation of work looks very realistic if a large number of diseases do not continue to grow, - said the minister.

Manturov also said that the authorities, together with the industry of the Russian Federation, are working out algorithms for transferring some employees to remote work, if this does not affect the activities of companies.

According to the Association of Retail Companies, the loss of non-food retail in the Russian Federation during the pandemic in 2020 may amount to 6.08 trillion rubles.

As wrote earlier, the authorities of the Moscow Region will try to avoid the introduction of electronic travel passes in the region in the context of the spread of coronavirus. This was stated by the head of the region, Andrei Vorobyov.
