Nathan Crimp won the title of world record holder for visiting 67 pubs in a day and drinking in each of them. However, the man met not even in 24 hours, but in 17.
A resident of Brighton (England), accompanied by a couple of friends, went on an unusual “journey” and managed to surpass the previous record holder, Gareth Murphy from Wales, who visited 56 pubs earlier this year.
Nathan said that initially the record seemed to him quite simple, so the 22-year-old man was incredibly surprised to realize that such an achievement could be extremely tiring. It was necessary to think about maintaining sobriety, so Nathan interspersed alcoholic drinks with non-alcoholic drinks (the rules of the Guinness Book of Records allow this).
The man had to remember not only to drink in pubs, but also to collect evidence – photographs, drink receipts and eyewitness accounts.
In addition, the frequent desire to visit the toilet due to the considerable amount of liquid drunk became a big problem. Nathan complained that it took an unexpectedly long time. However, now all the hardships are behind, and the newly-minted champion can be proud of himself.
