Magnetic storms in late spring will be frequent and sometimes protracted. Some of these magnetic oscillations will be strong, and some will be insignificant. However, many people on the planet can feel the deterioration in well-being, writes RBC-Ukraine.

According to Space Weather specialists, a G1 magnetic storm (red level) is expected on May 2-3. It is associated with an M4 class flare that occurred on the Sun on April 29th. Such a storm leads to headaches, can cause deterioration of health, exacerbation of chronic diseases.

  • May 14 – short magnetic storm
  • May 17-18 – storm of medium intensity
  • May 20-21 – red level storm
  • May 26-27 – storm of medium intensity

How can a person react to magnetic storms

In people with sensitivity to the geomagnetic environment, the symptoms may be pronounced. For people who have not previously felt the effects of magnetic storms, their health may deteriorate slightly, or such days will pass unnoticed.

Most often, people with chronic diseases and the elderly react to magnetic storms.

  1. Headache, dizziness
  2. Nausea, lack of appetite, abdominal pain
  3. Weakness, loss of strength, drowsiness, impaired concentration
  4. Aggression, irritability, apathy
  5. High blood pressure, heart pain, palpitations
  6. Exacerbation of chronic diseases
  7. Aches in the bones, pain in the places of former fractures

How to minimize the negative impact of magnetic storms

  • Try to get enough sleep on such days (7-9 hours) and stick to the daily routine
  • Get outdoors more, go for walks
  • Refuse junk food, heavy, salty and spicy. Cut down on coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, and energy drinks.
  • Drink plenty of water, herbal tea
  • Take a contrast shower in the morning and a relaxing bath in the evening
  • Do not get involved in conflicts, reduce physical and psychological stress
  • Replace gym sessions with a swimming pool

People with chronic diseases are advised to get more rest and keep the necessary medicines on hand.
