French leader Emmanuel Macron and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation, according to the Elysee Palace.
During the conversation, Macron said that it is necessary to avoid any encroachment on the integrity of civilian nuclear facilities located on the territory of Ukraine.
It is specified that the President of France acquainted Zelensky with the content of his conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which touched upon the security of Ukrainian nuclear facilities.
It is also reported that Macron and Zelensky discussed the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.
Earlier, the Kremlin announced the details of the conversation between Putin and Macron. It was reported that the President of France expressed concern about ensuring the safety of nuclear power plants in Ukraine.
Putin stressed that Russian troops, together with the Ukrainian security unit and personnel, continue to ensure the functioning of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in the normal mode.
