Macron and Scholz called on Putin to release captured militants from Azovstal

French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, during a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, called on the Russian leader to release the prisoners of war who left the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. This was reported in the Elysee Palace.

“The President of France and the Federal Chancellor of Germany called for the release of about 2.5 thousand Ukrainian servicemen,” the report says.
