Singer Lyubov Uspenskaya makes money on the song and does not pay royalties.
The artist successfully performs the song “Polyushka” at her concerts, which has become her hallmark. At the same time, she did not transfer a penny from the due fee to the author of the hit.
The star of the Soviet cinema Natalya Lapina, who created the composition, even intends to apply to the US tax authorities to bring the artist to justice. The thing is that she herself presented the data of an American passport when signing an agreement for a one-time performance of a song on Channel One. It turns out that she must pay taxes to the United States, and there it is strict with this.
Lapina said that Allegrova initially liked the song, but Uspenskaya literally snatched it from the hands of the “empress”, proving that she needed it more.
“This hit will help me get my daughter Tanya back!” She told me and I believed her. She refused Allegrova and gave “Polyushka” to Uspenskaya. When the song became a hit, I had to receive royalties for it. Initially, I told Lyuba that I don’t transfer copyright to anyone – this is my bread”, – in complete bewilderment from the antics of the singer Lapin.
Now, instead of living comfortably on royalties, she has to fight for her rights. And this led to big health problems. Lapina has already undergone heart surgery, but complications have begun and now a second one is required. There is no money for this. Instead of help, Uspenskaya’s representatives literally mock the author, sending her insulting SMS messages with threatening overtones.
And Uspenskaya continues to sing “Polyushka”, not caring about the ethical and legal side of her behavior. Considering how much she has already sung, the author could have millions. Grigory Leps, for example, performed Lapina’s song only once and paid 116 thousand rubles for it. Uspenskaya has hundreds of concerts and even the tour is called “Polyushka”.
“I will not beg, walk with an outstretched hand – it is better to go to the next world. I said to my sister: “I’ll be glad if I don’t wake up after the operation!” I don’t want to live with this shit. I’ve been hounded for two years, threatened with gangsters just because I created a hit”, Lapina, tired of the struggle, complains to Prozvezd.info.
