Lukashenko urged Uzbekistan to learn lessons from events in Kazakhstan

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that lessons from the situation in Kazakhstan should be drawn first of all by Uzbekistan, writes RIA Novosti.

“If they are not extracted, according to our information, their views (the organizers of the crisis – ed.), First of all, are thrown at Uzbekistan,” the politician said, speaking at the CSTO summit.

Lukashenko believes that the analysis of events in Kazakhstan has shown the presence of an external factor. “Their script is recognizable, as the President of Kazakhstan just said. You don’t have to go far for analogies: Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, Afghanistan. Not so long ago Belarus experienced a similar combined onslaught, ”he added.

Lukashenko also called on the CSTO leaders to hold talks on Tajikistan, which needs support, including military equipment.

“This is a good reason to get together and talk about Tajikistan. For years, the President of Tajikistan has been asking us for material support, primarily with military equipment. And we need to do this so that later it will not cost us more, as with Kazakhstan, ”the agency quotes the words of the Belarusian president.

The CSTO summit is being held today, January 10, in an online format.

Earlier, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon announced terrorist cells in Central Asia. According to him, there are more than 6,000 militants at the borders.

It also became known that the CSTO Secretary General will fly to Kazakhstan on January 11. Stanislav Zas noted that the purpose of the trip is to study the state of affairs on the spot.
