The press secretary of the head of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov confirmed the visit of the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko to Russia on September 14, RIA Novosti reports.
At the same time, it is noted that no documents are planned to be signed following the meeting with Putin.
Earlier Lukashenka said that at the upcoming meeting with Putin he intends to put a “fat point” in the implementation of the agreements of the two countries' prime ministers.
Meanwhile, Peskov called "absolute nonsense" the talk about "Russia's absorption of Belarus" after Lukashenko's visit to the Russian Federation. According to him, the heads of the two states at the upcoming meeting in Moscow will discuss a range of trade and economic issues, including the restructuring of the state debt of Belarus to the Russian Federation.
