Lukashenko plans to meet with Putin in February

The leader of the Republic of Belarus at a meeting with the Secretary of State of the Union State Grigory Rapota announced a planned meeting with his Russian counterpart. BelTA informs about it.

“Indeed, Putin and I have agreed long ago that in the early 20th of February we will meet and talk about some areas of our cooperation. But I want to say right away: here, as always in Russia, some will pick up the agenda, and, behold, “Lukashenka will come to ask as much as $ 3 billion”. No, I’m not going there to ask for something, ”the agency quoted the president as saying.

Lukashenko added that there is also an agreement to meet with Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, during which it is planned to discuss security and defense issues.

Earlier, the President of Belarus approved the draft protocol on amendments to the agreement with Russia on the procedure for setting prices for the supply and transit of gas.

Before that, it was reported about another agreement between Belarus and Russia – on the use of Russian ports for the export of Belarusian oil products to third countries. According to the agreement between the states, Belarusian enterprises will be redirected through ports in the Baltic in 2021-2023. more than 9.8 million tons of cargo. We are talking about fuel oil, gasoline and oil.
