Lukashenko: Belarus headed for strengthening independence in conjunction with the Russian Federation

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he took a tougher course to preserve the sovereignty and independence of the country and, at the same time, to strengthen ties with brotherly countries – Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

The head of state recalled that the world is changing in terms of uniting “peoples and states into unions,” and that it will be difficult for Belarus to survive alone.

“That is why I took a tougher course to preserve our sovereignty and independence, so that we could be a state. But they were in close connection with our closest friends and brothers. It’s Russia. This is Kazakhstan. This is Ukraine, ”Lukashenka said on January 7 during a visit to the temple of the Venerable Optina Elders in Minsk.

Earlier, the President of Belarus said that the events in Kazakhstan should be a lesson for the country. Something similar could have happened during the 2020 presidential election.
