The governments of Belarus and Russia need to finalize six or seven more road integration maps out of the 33 provided for by the agreements, said Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We agreed that we will modernize and update them. Today the Ambassador of Belarus to the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko reported that there may be six to seven roadmaps left of 33 that the governments are working on. All the rest are ready for signing, ”TASS quoted Lukashenka as saying.
Thus, in the development of Belarusian-Russian cooperation “there is an action plan,” the head of the Republic of Belarus noted.
Earlier, Lukashenka confirmed that Russia is the main economic and strategic ally of the republic. The President of Belarus said that he was in favor of economic integration with the Russian Federation on equal terms, noting that this would be beneficial to both parties.
We add that the Minsk Motor Plant was the first of the Belarusian enterprises to receive the right to participate in state purchases in Russia. The countries also agreed to establish a joint production of a Russian vaccine against coronavirus in the Belarusian territory.
