Lukashenka said that ANC will not change the country’s constitution

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during his visit to the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology, said that the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly would not change any constitutional norms, BelTA news agency reported.

Lukashenka said that he is not going to prolong his power in this way. The head of Belarus also noted that whether the VNS will become a constitutional body remains an unresolved issue today.

According to Lukashenka, the meeting will be held honestly and openly. He also noted that “the most advanced patriots of the country” will gather there.

Earlier it was reported that the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly will be held in February. The 6th convocation of the meeting will be attended by 2,700 people. No more than 310 people from each region will be able to become members, and no more than 370 citizens from Minsk. The all-Belarusian meeting will discuss the main provisions of the program of the country’s socio-economic development for 2021-2025, as well as the directions of socio-political changes in the republic.
