LPR stopped communicating with Kiev at the JCCC after the arrest of a Luhansk officer

The LPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime suspended interaction with Ukraine due to the detention of a Luhansk officer, said the official representative of the People’s Militia of the Republic, Ivan Filiponenko.

“At present, the LPR representative office in the JCCC has completely stopped interaction with the Ukrainian side until the return of their employee,” RIA Novosti quoted Filiponenko as saying.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian security forces captured a representative of the LPR. In Kiev, they claim that he was detained for reconnaissance at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the guise of demining. In the Luhansk People’s Republic, the accusations were denied.

SBU investigators suspect the detainee of creating illegal paramilitaries. The department said that he had previously fired at the positions of the Ukrainian military in Popasna and Zolote from a mortar, he could face up to eight years in prison.
