The politician criticized the level of safety at the station
Lithuania refused to purchase electricity from the Belarusian nuclear power plant due to non-compliance with safety requirements at the enterprise. Thus, the President of the Republic Gitanas Nauseda explained why Vilnius does not intend to cooperate with Minsk in this area.
“Unfortunately, the culture of operation of the Belarusian NPP is below any level,”
– said the leader of Lithuania. According to him, the requirements for the implementation of the recommendations of stress tests are ignored, and the process is artificially accelerated at the expense of safety.
That is why it is simply indecent to talk not only about the purchase of electricity from the BelNPP, but also about any contracts in general. RIA Novosti quoted the president’s words in an interview with TV3.
Earlier, Gitanas Nauseda announced plans of action in Belarus after the resignation of Alexander Lukashenko.
