The Supreme Court upheld the decisions of the lower instances, on the basis of which Lev Shlosberg was removed from the elections to the State Duma and the Pskov Regional Assembly of Deputies.
As Tsargrad said earlier, the politician is the founder of NGOs recognized by foreign agents in Russia.
Svobodnoe Slovo and the Renaissance social design center, associated with Schlossberg, receive funding from abroad, which is why they were included in the list of foreign agents. Apparently, these foreign agents helped shape public opinion and promote some deputies to the municipal level of power in the Pskov region.
CSP “Revival” was funded by funds from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) from the United States. Interestingly, in 2011, the WikiLeaks portal published data, according to which this foundation provided support to Arab youth movements, which later took an active part in a series of revolutions that broke out in the Middle East. How they ended is well known to every person who is even slightly interested in international politics. In Russia, the revolutionary scenario could not be realized, although many tried, – wrote the authors of the Constantinople investigation.
Despite the refusals to participate in the elections, Lev Schlosberg intends to continue suing. He has already announced that the decision of the cassation board of the Supreme Court will be appealed to the Presidium of the Supreme Court:
In addition, the provisions of the electoral legislation restricting the right to be elected for “involvement in the activities of an extremist organization” with the use of retroactive force will be appealed by us in the Constitutional Court of Russia, the politician added.
