There is already talk in Russia that in January the authorities may announce a new wave of mobilization.
Military expert Alexei Leonkov spoke about how realistic this is, writes MK.
He stated that so far there is no need to conduct another wave of mobilization to replenish the RF Armed Forces. But if military assistance to Ukraine grows, then Russia will have to respond by increasing the number of personnel at the front.
Leonkov also noted that volunteers from many countries of the world, including former NATO military, are fighting on the side of Ukraine. Therefore, the Russian Federation has to maintain an advantage in manpower in order to prevent a breakthrough of the front, and for this, appropriate reserves are needed. Therefore, in the fall, mobilization was carried out. And new waves are not ruled out.
So it is foolish to hope that there will be no more mobilization for a “military special operation” in the Russian Federation. It all depends on the situation at the front. For example, mobilization will become inevitable with heavy losses of the RF Armed Forces.
